Contigo Peru
3567 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd
Atlanta, GA 30341
(770) 455-8338
I've never had Peruvian food,
so I can't be a critic of its authenticity. But, I know what I LIKE, and I
like Contigo Peru. It's not in a pretty part of town, and the atmosphere
is no different than mid-range Mexican or Chinese restaurants. The food
was very tasty. I thought it was a tad high for lunch, but you get plenty
to eat. They serve a jalepeno dip with bread that is out of this world.
Can you say picante? The chicken dish my husband had was not boneless so
he was a little surprised. My shrimp dish was fine. Okay amount of shrimp
and LOTS OF RICE. But the seasoning was so good, I forgot all about the
shrimp. I plan to go back for supper sometime and try more of their
seafood. If you like Mexican but
want a change of pace, this is it. - from citysearch reviews

The busy atmosphere at this Colombian favorite makes for a bright and
sunny atmosphere, no matter what the weather. The tilapia, deep-fried
Colombian style, is always a sure bet ù crackly
crunchy right down to the tail. It arrives at the table in grand splendor,
an absolute marvel of
crunchy yumminess. The meats here are tender to the point of insanity and
handsomely served
with rice, plantains, chicharron and a small salad of lettuce, tomato and
avocado. Sobrebarriga
(flank steak) is slow-cooked like brisket until it shreds with just a
nudge of the fork, then it's
grilled with mild seasonings to give it even more flavor. -AJC
Thanks to Mary Beth and Rom
for their guidance at another successful DECA Diners restaurant! About 15
folks enjoyed many different Columbian dishes as well as sharing a very
tasty appetizer of many different types of meat. Popular meals were
chicken and pork chops - one of our attendees tried the fish soup which he
stated was very tasty. The portions were very generous and most of the
folks ended up with "take out" boxes. A great time of visiting
and getting acquainted with some new folks was had by all. - Jean Frost,

Little Malaysia Restaurant
5150 Buford Hwy NE Ste A110
Doraville, GA 30340-1183
(770) 458-1818
This is probably the best
Malaysian restaurant in Atlanta. The food is authentic and YUMMY! My
personal favorites are the noodles: Curry noodle, shrimp noodle, cantonese
and hokkien fried
noodles...etc

Well another round of applause for a successful DECA dine-around! After a
quick game of musical chairs/tables, eleven of us feasted at Little
Malaysia, located in Asian Square on Buford Hwy just
north of Shallowford Rd. We chose to share dishes to maximize our dining
experience, and we all
enjoyed an exotic banquet of food! We savored wonderful dishes such as
Mongolian Beef, Tom Yum Chicken, Vegetable Curry and Malaysian Buddhist.
For those who love spicy foods, we highly recommend the Kung Pao Beef,
Black Pepper Chicken and the Golden Prawns.

Com Vietnamese Grill

Atlanta, GA 30345

Vietnamese food is
complicated, but not confusing; flavors are buoyant with subtle
sophistication.
Com Vietnamese Grill Restaurant, new in Buford Plaza, is a hip little
eatery that embraces
Vietnamese food the way Pooh holds on to his honey. The digs are neat and
trendy, with colorful
drop glass lighting over tables and large paintings depicting vistas of
Hong Kong and Saigon (Ho
Chi Minh City). The staff speaks perfect English and loves to help out.
The place even has a
groovy Web site. Read: Com is not the typical Asian spot often found (and
sought out) along the
heavily populated strip malls of Buford Highway that look like the
backside of an old radio. Com
is new. Fresh. Appealing to anyone who might want to enjoy the intricacies
of Vietnamese cuisine.

Salsa Con Sabor
5567-A Peachtree Industrial Blvd.
Chamblee, GA 30341
(770) 455-6727
"This sweet restaurant offers two menus -- one Puerto Rican and one
Peruvian. Mix and match at will from the ceviche, various seafood soups
and stews, unusual appetizers and great balls of mofongo -- mashed
plantains stuffed with roasted pork. It all tastes like different kinds of
comfort food. Service is considerate and the wildly decorated room feels
like a party." -ajc

Neighbor Reviews:
Recommend! It's "Mint" Thai & Chinese on
Clairmont -- used to be HoHo's. The new owners have spruced up the inside;
it is charming. The food is excellent.

Yesterday I ordered in for dinner. It's a new Chinese/Thai
restaurant called "Mint". BEST CHINESE/THAI I have had in a very
long time!! The food was very fresh and the style was a lot more
innovative than most! I highly recommend them next time you eat out/order
in.

Distinguishing itself with noteworthy food that belies its small
storefront, Little Szechwan provides friendly service and an easygoing
approach that makes visitors feel instantly comfortable. Popular main
dishes include stir-fried moo shu vegetables, sizzling beef brisket and
shredded pork with onion slivers and hot peppers in spicy garlic sauce.

Little Cuba

Little Cuba is like a trip to the island, without the political tension.
Sunny, buoyant surroundings and food carry the day. Try the Cuban
sandwich, arroz con pollo, or boliche.
